Where the Pronghorns Play

Swiss artist Karl Bodmer (1809–93) rendered "Head of an Antelope" during his expedition along the Missouri River basin in the early 1830s.Their size, form and speed call to mind the antelopes of Africa, but the pronghorns of the Great Plains have the run of their own family
